Dread X Collection 2

Dread X Collection 2 is the second anthology from the Dread X group of indie horror developers — 12 short games each made in 10 days, with a shared theme this time around ("LOVECRAFTING," which contributors took in radically different directions) and a meta-narrative VHS framing that ties them together.

The framing device puts you in a dim room with a TV, a VCR, and a row of tape coffins. A voice gives you a key. You unlock a coffin, play the tape, survive whatever's inside.

The contributors and games include: • Secret Cow Level — Another Late Night (a Discord night gone wrong) • Daniel Mullins Games — Solipsis (astronauts and a Moon discovery) • David Szymanski — Squirrel Stapler (hunt squirrels, staple them to a corpse, meet god) • Akabaka — Sucker for Love (romance an eldritch horror) • Bathysfear Games — The Diving Bell (deep-sea isolation) • Panstasz — The Thing in the Lake • Wither Studios — Touched by an Outer God • plus six more from Vidas Games, John Szymanski, Mahelyk, Scythe Dev Team, and Torple Dook

An interactive launcher (with its own embedded game by Lovely Hellplace) ties the experience together, or you can skip straight to the tapes. The genre range is broad — visual novel, FPS, walking sim, RPG — and the quality is genuinely high given the 10-day jam constraint.
