About Graveyard Keeper
Graveyard Keeper is Lazy Bear Games' medieval cemetery sim, billed as the most inaccurate of all time. You inherit a graveyard in a fantasy village and run it as a business, expanding into related ventures: church services, brewery operations, butcher shops, alchemy, witch-burning festivals. Every shortcut to cut costs is on the table, since this is a game about the spirit of capitalism.
Ethical dilemmas drive much of the comedy. The witch-burning festival could use proper burger meat, but you have so many corpses lying around. Why spend money on butcher cuts when organs are sitting in the morgue? Grind them up, sell them to the local butcher, pocket the profit, repeat. Or stay on the right side of the line and go on proper quests, you roleplayer.
The gameplay loop mixes Stardew-style resource gathering, crafting and farming with body management and burial mechanics. Mysterious dungeons offer alchemy ingredients to discover (some of which poison entire villages on a bad batch). The love story underneath the dark capitalism eventually pulls the protagonist into supernatural plots involving the village's deeper secrets. Multiple DLC expansions extend the original campaign considerably.
