INMOST

INMOST is an atmospheric narrative-driven puzzle platformer from the Lithuanian studio Hidden Layer Games. Three playable characters share the campaign — an adventurous young girl, a stoic knight, and a man in search of answers — with their stories interconnecting into a single dark tale told across short, deliberately paced chapters.

Each character carries their own gameplay style. The knight ventures into the depths of a deteriorating castle, slicing through enemies and avoiding lethal traps. The child uncovers the past of an eerie house through exploration and small-scale puzzle-solving. The wanderer searches for answers with a different set of tools again. Scythes, hookshots, pickaxes, and environmental traps all factor into the moment-to-moment vocabulary.

The game is intimate and intentionally emotional — a story of loss and hope that some players may find upsetting, as the developer explicitly notes. Cassandra Lee Morris and Andrew Dennis lend their vocal talents to the cast. The campaign runs 3-5 hours and is designed to be played in a single sitting on a dark, stormy night. Pixel art is placed with deliberate care, and CORSAIR iCUE RGB dynamic lighting support extends the atmosphere to physical hardware.
