Overloop sits in a dystopian future where Infinity Inc.'s cloning device, the Quantic Matter Replication Device (QMRD), has wreaked havoc on humanity. You happen to be the inventor, which makes the cleanup your responsibility. Grab your cloning gun, your mustache, and start sorting out the chaos.

The core mechanic generates up to four clones of yourself at once. Use them to solve puzzles, hit pressure plates simultaneously, bypass traps, and reach areas a single body cannot. Many clones will die in elaborate fashion (fried, crushed, mangled, minced) and the game keeps that consequence in plain sight as part of the moral undertone.

The world is filled with suspiciously friendly AI, cultish crackpots, modified corn, and cloned panda bears. The puzzles ask whether it is better that a clone should die rather than the real you, and the game's ethical material lands more sharply because the platforming keeps daring you to spawn another.
