Toodee and Topdee

Toodee and Topdee is a puzzle-platformer hybrid that physically combines two different genres. A cosmic accident merged the dimensions of the 2D platformer (Toodee) and the top-down puzzler (Topdee), and the game lets you switch between their perspectives at will. The world itself shifts to match the rules of whichever genre is currently active.

In Toodee's 2D platformer view, gravity pulls down and objects obey side-scrolling platformer physics. Switch to Topdee and the camera flips overhead — gravity stops mattering, objects can be pushed in any direction, and Sokoban-style puzzle logic takes over. Puzzles often require switching perspectives multiple times to manipulate the same object differently in each view.

The difficulty escalates fast. Precision-platforming sections in Toodee's view sit alongside genuinely tricky logic puzzles in Topdee's. If you struggle, the game's difficulty settings let you adjust specific rules to keep the experience accessible. Big bosses cap each chapter, fought across both perspectives simultaneously.

Local co-op support lets one player control each character. The storyline involves a quest to find a missing semicolon and restore balance to the universe — appropriately silly for the genre-blending tone. Secrets are scattered throughout for completionists. From small indie team, with a remarkable amount of design polish for the scope.
