About Loddlenaut

Loddlenaut sends you to the ocean planet of GUP-14, abandoned after the megacorporation GUPPI — which sold everything from soda to spaceships — packed up and left behind a thoroughly polluted biosphere. You arrive as an interstellar custodian with a bubble gun and a job to do: clean up the oil spills, the floating debris, the underwater goop, and gradually bring the planet back to life.

The cleanup is the core loop. Your bubble gun handles the worst of the goop, with additional gadgets unlocked over time for different pollution types, and collected debris is recycled into useful items and upgrades. Sunken ruins of GUPPI buildings, ships and machinery dot the seabed and double as both progression checkpoints and lore — most of what you learn about the previous inhabitants comes from poking around what they left behind, in the order you find it.

The axolotl-like loddles are the planet's other inhabitants and the game's softer half. You feed them aquatic fruits, protect them from the worst of the polluted water, and watch them grow and develop traits based on what they eat. Several post-launch updates have widened the scope substantially: the Goddles update added three new caves, a hidden sixth biome called Goddle Grotto, a gardening system, a global pollution tracker, an inventory expansion module, gold-tier tools and a modified ending; the Loddlepedia update layered on evolution tracking, new abilities, new traits and a new movement option around the ocean.
