About Lost Judgment
Lost Judgment is Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's sequel to Judgment, continuing the story of detective Takayuki Yagami in a case that opens with a courtroom outburst from a defendant accused of groping. Akihiro Ehara, mid-trial, claims that a body discovered three days earlier in Yokohama is connected to him — and that nobody has bothered to charge him with that murder. His defence lawyer Saori Shirosaki brings Yagami in, and the case quickly opens into a tangled web involving school bullying, vigilante justice, and a fundamentally broken legal system.
The undercover assignment that anchors the game sends Yagami into the prestigious Seiryo High School in Yokohama, where he poses as a club advisor to investigate the bullying culture that ties multiple victims together. Several activities sit at that intersection of cover identity and side content: joining the Dance Club leads to rhythm-based interludes with students, the Robotics Club offers engineering puzzles, the boxing gym tests Yagami's combat skills against fierce opponents, and a biker gang requires you to earn respect through underground racing.
Mechanically the game refines what Judgment introduced. Three distinct, combo-heavy martial arts styles cover group ambushes and single-target encounters, while environmental weapons — street signs, bicycles, vending machines — extend the toolkit. Yagami's investigative kit includes drones, listening devices, building scaling and tailing sequences for catching suspects in the act. Two cities, Kamurocho and Ijincho, host the action, with side cases scattered across both and a roster of bars and nightlife venues providing the cultural texture the Yakuza series has long been known for.
