Northgard

Northgard: Definitive Edition is Shiro Games' real-time strategy game set on a mythical Viking continent, packaged with all post-launch DLC and content updates. You lead one of many clans landing on the shores of Northgard, each with distinct passive bonuses, unit roster, and victory conditions.

Resource management is the throughline. Vikings are assigned to jobs — farmer, warrior, sailor, loremaster, healer — and food, wood, and stone reserves have to be balanced against brutal winters that can wipe out a poorly prepared colony. Wolves, undead warriors, and giants roam the wilderness, and most clans have tools for either befriending or annihilating them.

Four victory paths split the strategic options: military conquest, accumulated fame, lore (research and devotion to the gods), or trade dominance. Each clan's bonus pushes them toward one or two of these but rarely locks them out.

Conquest mode is a standalone solo/co-op campaign with 100+ hours of scenarios. Story mode covers the original arc — Rig's hunt for his father's murderer — and the Cross of Vidar expansion, which moves the survivors south after Ragnarök into Neustria. Ranked multiplayer supports up to 11 players.
