Police Stories

Police Stories is a top-down shooter that puts tactics first, inspired by SWAT 4 and gritty police TV shows. Each mission tells part of the story of two police operatives, John Rimes and Rick Jones, as they infiltrate gang hideouts, rescue hostages, make arrests, defuse bombs and survive other life-threatening situations, and the central rule is that shooting first is not an option.

A Surrender System lets you apprehend suspects without violence, whether by firing a warning shot near them or engaging them in melee. You issue commands to your partner Rick Jones, and used wisely he may save your life in return. Police equipment like under-the-door cameras and door blast charges supports careful, methodical play, since every action is scored in real time and playing aggressively will not earn a result high enough to advance.

Randomly placed criminals, hostages and evidence make every run of a level unique, leading to new situations each time, and lawbreakers range from petty crooks to organized gangs and terrorists, each with their own weapons, behavior and skill. It plays solo or in online co-op for better scores and more fun.
