Skelly Selest

Skelly Selest casts you as a skeletal Heavenly Keeper sent into Hell when its overflow threatens to spill onto Earth and into Heaven itself. You hack, slash, dash, gun and dodge through procedurally generated runs across the Bone Plains, Flesh Gardens and Soul Necropolis, killing the Arch Lichemancer, the Deamonica Netherlord and their swarms of damned subordinates.

The combat is score-attack pulse-rush, with wave-based modes and Steam leaderboards tracking the best clears. Pickups bolster fighting prowess between rooms, alternate playable characters unlock from rescued NPCs, and visual customizations open through repeated runs. The hand-pixel art keeps the bones, blood and exploding sprites readable at a glance even when the screen is full.

Game modes branch wide for a small game: a pit arena survival mode, an open dungeon crawl with all beasties and bosses unlocked, a boss rush, Penitence Trials, and an unexpectedly committed collectable card minigame inspired by Triple Triad from Final Fantasy 8. Caiysware's bone-deep tongue-in-cheek tone runs through every menu.
