Summum Aeterna

Summum Aeterna is a brisk roguelite tied to the Metroidvania Aeterna Noctis, pairing fast combat with a distinctive 2D art style. You play the King of Darkness, an immortal, brutal warlord, exploring uncharted reaches of Aeterna stuffed with treasure, traps, enemy hordes and powerful bosses.

At its center is a world generator built on the Seed Mechanic. Every seed produces a unique world, and the seed genes, positive and negative traits carried inside it, determine enemy behavior, special events, map size and the rewards you will face. You can mutate or recycle seeds to chase higher rarity and shape a world that fits your style.

Defeat is part of the loop, but progress sticks: your skill tree and the upgrades you unlock for the world carry over between lives. Combat is unforgiving, fought with swords, pistols and scythes, and weapons can be slotted with gems for new offensive and passive abilities or ascended to Summum level with collected diagrams. A cross-platform Board of Champions tracks the highest-level seeds cleared fastest, awarding gold, silver and bronze crowns that the king wears in-game while he holds the podium.
