About TAMASHII
TAMASHII is a 2D puzzle-platformer that draws openly from obscure Japanese console releases of the late 80s and early 90s — the strange, hostile, sometimes uncomfortable corners of the era that mainstream history skipped past.
The framing: an unnamed soul (you) has been summoned by an ancient entity who needs help discovering the evil source hidden inside his twisted temple. The aesthetic is consistently grotesque, the world feels actively wrong, and the developer has been upfront that the imagery skews toward distorted and "perverted" content — not erotic so much as physically unsettling.
Gameplay is straightforward puzzle-platforming with tight timing requirements. A slow-motion mode is included to help with the more demanding timing puzzles, and a level-select hub lets you replay segments. Time trial and score attack modes add a layer for players who want to chase records.
Full controller support, auto-save, and secrets/easter eggs scattered through the temple. The developer warns about flashing lights triggering photosensitive epilepsy, and notes that streamers may see their real computer-account name displayed in-game — both flags worth heeding before starting.
