The Elder Scrolls Arena

The Elder Scrolls: Arena is the game that began the long-running fantasy series, set on the world of Nirn within the empire of Tamriel. Its plot turns on betrayal: the imperial battlemage Jagar Tharn casts Emperor Uriel Septim into another dimension, then takes the Emperor's face and his throne for himself.

Players take on the role of a lone prisoner who must travel to Tamriel's most renowned and dangerous locations to recover the scattered fragments of the Staff of Chaos. Only by piecing the artifact back together can the impostor be defeated, the true Emperor freed and the Empire restored.
