Vagrus - The Riven Realms

Vagrus is a narrative-focused roleplaying game with open-world exploration and a strong strategic backbone. You take the role of a vagrus, a caravan leader trying to survive a strange, perilous dark fantasy world by guiding a traveling company through every kind of venture. A thousand years ago the Elder Gods unleashed their power to punish the Empire, and the continent is still a wasteland of arcane anomalies, twisted monsters and roaming undead.

A wide spread of stories forms the narrative through events, encounters and quests, and your choices ripple out to your companions and the world around them. Begin as a trader, mercenary or explorer; chase rumors and trade opportunities, work for factions, and gather wealth, fame and hidden knowledge. Journeys must be planned with care, since supplies, morale and crew vigor all have to be managed or the trip ends in disaster.

Turn-based tactical combat brings in your companions against humanoid and monstrous foes, where positioning and support skills decide hard fights. Companions fill caravan roles such as scoutmaster, guard captain or beast handler, each with unique skills and personal quest lines that upgrade them. Allying with mighty factions, from Trading Houses to criminal syndicates and religious orders, brings powerful rewards, but every friendship tends to make enemies elsewhere.
