About 20 Minutes Till Dawn
20 Minutes Till Dawn is a top-down survivor-style roguelite where the timer in the title is the win condition: outlast twenty minutes of swelling enemy waves and you've cleared the night. The deck of variables in any run includes the weapon you start with, the character you picked, and over fifty different upgrades you draft as you level.
Where most games in this lineage use automatic firing, Erabit's design uses directional aim and active triggers — you point the cursor, you pull the trigger, you reload. Combat is methodical rather than reflex-flooded, and weapons evolve along specific paths: shotguns that ignite, lightning that chains from the sky, magic spears that pierce in flight.
Souls earned across runs feed into the Rune system, the persistent meta-progression layer that carries strength forward between attempts. Tomes drop from bosses and grant significant upgrades within a run. Characters and weapons unlock with continued play. Sessions are short enough — 10 to 20 minutes each — to fit into the gaps between everything else.
