Assassin's Creed Chronicles Russia

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia brings the 2.5D trilogy to a contemporary setting, casting players as Nikolai Orelov in 1918, amid the upheaval that followed the October Revolution. Orelov hopes to leave with his family, but the Assassin Order demands one final mission: infiltrate the house where the Tsar's family is held by the Bolsheviks and recover an artifact that assassins and Templars have fought over for centuries.

The chapter is staged in a striking propaganda art style heavy with revolutionary symbolism. Players board the famous trans-Siberian train, slip into the Kremlin and flee Moscow, using modern stealth elements such as elevators, radios and trip wires while contending with trucks, trains and tanks.

Two playable characters share the story. As Nikolai, players snipe targets with a silenced rifle, set off mines from a distance or close in with a bayonet, and rely on his Mechanical Winch, a versatile tool that delivers electric shocks. After witnessing the massacre of Tsar Nicholas II's children, Orelov saves the princess Anastasia, who becomes the second playable character, able to slip through narrow channels with her own Helix Blade.
