Blood West

Blood West is a stealth-first first-person shooter set in a cursed alternate Wild West, where ghouls, witches, and Lovecraftian abominations have overrun the Barren Lands. You play an undead gunslinger contracted by native spirits to purge the curse — fail and you stay damned.

Design draws heavily from Thief, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and Hunt: Showdown. Maps reward scouting, light/shadow management, and patient picking off of enemies before they raise an alarm. The protagonist is voiced by Stephen Russell, the voice actor for Garrett in the original Thief games, which is fitting and entirely intentional.

Three open-ended regions — the Canyons, the Swamp, the Mountains — total 20+ hours for a critical-path run and 35+ for completionists. NPCs are voice-acted and quest-giving, and your relationship with them changes based on whether you help, ignore, or rob them.

A perk-based RPG progression layer lets you specialise into stealth hunter, gunslinger, or melee berserker, with artifact slots that further reshape playstyle. From Hyperstrange, the studio behind POSTAL: Brain Damaged — gunfire is loud, pixelated, and generous.
