BUTCHER is a fast-paced, blood-soaked 2D shooter and a love letter to the early 90s, where carnage is the only way forward. In a dystopian future with humanity on the brink of extinction, you become a heartless killing machine, a cyborg driven by an insatiable thirst for destruction.

You blast through waves of bloodthirsty foes in ultra-violent combat that leaves no room for mercy, wielding a brutal arsenal that runs from chainsaw to shotgun to grenade launcher. Precise controls and a satisfying combat system reward quick reflexes and strategy, and there are plenty of other ways to end enemies, hooks, lava pits, and saws, so no two deaths are alike.

A pixel-art style pays homage to classic games with a modern twist, backed by an atmospheric soundtrack that ratchets up the tension. You traverse diverse, challenging levels, underground hideouts, post-apocalyptic cities, jungles, and more, each with environmental obstacles, hidden secrets, and new weapons and upgrades to unlock.
