El Shaddai ASCENSION OF THE METATRON HD Remaster

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, first released in 2011 and now given an HD remaster, is a singular third-person action adventure built on richly artistic world-building, bold visuals and gripping combat. It folds 2D-style platforming into a vivid 3D world set in a place quite unlike anywhere else.

The art direction works like an ever-changing canvas, a world that shifts organically and creatively as your adventure progresses. Drawing on the apocryphal Book of Enoch, the game casts you as Enoch, who must use his natural combat skills to master a range of heavenly weapons under the guidance of the Archangels and spare the world from a great flood ordered by Heaven.

Combat runs on just four inputs, jumping, attacking, guarding and stealing weapons, simple enough to grasp without a manual, yet concealing a deep, exacting and satisfying system built on timing. The game won the Future Game of the Show award at Tokyo Game Show 2010, and this release is fully dubbed in English, plus subtitles in German, Spanish, Italian and French.
