Home Safety Hotline casts you as the night-shift phone operator for a fictional 90s home-safety service. Callers describe noises, smells, and sightings; you dig through a large catalog of pests, fungi, and household hazards and pick the entry that matches what they're describing. If you're right, the call ends fine. If you're wrong, they suffer the consequences — and you keep working.

The interface mimics period software: chunky window borders, low-res icons, a paginated database you scroll by hand. It's an analog-horror piece in the lineage of titles like Mortuary Assistant and Iron Lung, with the dread built from quiet bureaucratic detail rather than jump scares.

The catalog gradually expands as the shifts pile up, introducing entries that probably shouldn't be in a normal home-safety reference. An accessibility option called Phobia Toggles lets you suppress images for common triggers like arachnophobia.
