Kena Bridge of Spirits

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is Ember Lab's first game, made by a studio with a background in CG animation, and it shows in every frame. Kena, a young Spirit Guide, travels to an abandoned village in search of the sacred Mountain Shrine. The villagers are gone; the spirits they left behind are trapped between worlds; and the forest itself has been corrupted by the unresolved grief of the spirits still clinging to it.

The Rot are the answer the game offers. Small black spirit creatures that maintain balance by decomposing dead matter, they hide throughout the world, and Kena builds her party by finding them. The more Rot you've collected, the more powerful the Rot Actions become — moving heavy objects, attacking from new angles, clearing corruption from sealed shrines.

Combat is fast, melee-and-ranged, with upgrades earned by completing each spirit's story. The Anniversary Update adds New Game+, Spirit Guide Trials (wave defense, obstacle courses, rematches with bosses), unlockable outfits, Charmstones for build customization, and an enhanced Photo Mode that the game's painterly art absolutely earns the existence of.
