Plebby Quest The Crusades

Plebby Quest: The Crusades is a turn-based strategy game set during the crusades of Europe and the Middle East. You have to survive among ambitious rulers dreaming of empires, treacherous neighbors longing to burn your kingdom, and a religion that always makes unreasonable demands, all while building a legacy meant to last centuries.

The game runs in two connected modes: a Scenario mode that follows a character's story, and a Sandbox mode that lets you conquer the world without restriction, with good choices in one carrying over to affect the other. Neighboring kingdoms remember how you treat them, so critical mistakes breed dissent and war, while reacting in line with a character's personality opens their mind. In an age when faithlessness meant barbarism or the stake, every kingdom answers to a religion and will demand you prove yours.

Intrigue runs through it. Every June, believers of each faith gather to condemn one another, and you must use bribes, threats and dirty tricks to bend opinion your way. Once war begins, though, the choices narrow to a single grim pair: will you burn them, or be burnt? The game's hand-drawn characters laugh, rage and tell their stories with expressive movement.
