POSTAL Redux

POSTAL Redux is the high-definition remake of the 1997 original — the isometric twin-stick shooter that defined Running With Scissors and inaugurated one of the more controversial franchises in PC gaming. The campaign returns the POSTAL Dude to his cross-country path through a world gone mad with violence, from his suburban Home to The Mine, Trailer Park, Ghetto, City, and the final standoff at the Air Force Base.

The remake adds online four-player co-op for the campaign, online eight-player deathmatch with eight free-for-all arenas, and a brand new Rampage mode that scores creative methods of destruction and sustained kill streaks. The Carnival stage is new, the original Special Delivery and Super POSTAL add-ons (Tokyo and Osaka included) are bundled, and the combined Excess Postage campaign runs 23 levels.

The original arsenal — Shotgun, Spray Cannon, Molotovs, Flamethrower, Napalm Launcher, Grenades, Rocket Launcher with heatseeker rounds, various Mine types — gains the new Revolver. The enemy roster covers Vigilantes, Police, SWAT, Military squads, the recurring Marching Band, and angry Ostriches. Visuals, music, sound, and dialog are all remastered while preserving the original's character.
