Ryse Son of Rome

Ryse: Son of Rome arrived on PC after its Xbox One launch, with Crytek leveraging CRYENGINE for 4K resolution and high-end visual fidelity. The story follows Marius Titus, a young Roman soldier who witnesses the murder of his family by barbarian bandits and joins the Roman army on a campaign in Britannia to seek revenge. His destiny eventually leads him closer to home than expected.

The combat is brutal and cinematic, leaning on motion-captured performance, finisher animations and large-scale battle sequences. The game's portrayal of Roman warfare ranges from intimate one-on-one duels to legion engagements with barbarian hordes. Performance capture lets characters interact realistically through the campaign's revenge story.

The Colosseum Mode runs cooperative gladiatorial combat against an ever-changing array of enemies and challenges, with thousands of virtual spectators roaring. 26 multiplayer maps span tile sets from British camps to Roman villas to Egyptian deserts. Gladiator customization through gold and Valor (XP) unlocks new armor, weapons, shields and consumables. The PC release bundles all original DLC: Colosseum Pack, Mars' Chosen Pack, Duel of Fates Pack, and Morituri Pack.
