About Assassin's Creed Rogue
Assassin's Creed Rogue tells the franchise's darkest chapter from the other side. Set in 18th-century North America during the French and Indian War, it follows Shay Patrick Cormac, a young member of the Assassin Brotherhood whose dangerous mission goes tragically wrong. When the Assassins try to kill him in response, Shay turns on the brothers who cast him out and sets a course to become the most feared Assassin hunter in history.
Playing a Templar's perspective for the first time in the series, Shay keeps a Master Assassin's skills but gains new ones to match his new role: a deadly air rifle with specialized bullets and grenades for short or long range, and enhanced eagle vision to spot Assassins lurking on rooftops, in crowds and in the shadows.
Naval gameplay builds on Black Flag aboard Shay's ship, the Morrigan, sailing the icy North Atlantic and America's narrow river valleys. New touches include enemy Assassins boarding your deck, weapons like burning oil and the rapid-firing puckle gun, and an arctic playground where you ram through ice sheets to find hidden locations and use icebergs as cover. The story spans three environments: the North Atlantic, a hybrid River Valley of frontier and waterways, and an 18th-century recreation of New York City.
