Tainted Grail Conquest

Tainted Grail: Conquest is a story-driven hybrid between RPG and deck-building roguelike, set on the cursed Avalon island the broader Tainted Grail tabletop and video game universe takes place in. The world has been corrupted by something ancient, and the campaign sends you across ever-changing maps to fight deadly enemies and learn what actually happened.

The deck-building combat layer carries the genre's standard structure — draft cards each run, build synergies, defeat enemies in turn-based encounters — but layered with RPG progression that persists across runs. Character classes, equipment, and meta-upgrades extend the variation between playthroughs. The dark Arthurian-fantasy setting carries the writing further than most roguelite deckbuilders typically reach.

The maps shift between runs, the enemies adjust in their composition and behaviors, and the larger story unfolds gradually as you piece together what happened to Avalon. Awaken Realms — the Polish studio better known for premium tabletop board games — brings their distinct visual sensibility to the project, with characters and environments rendered in the kind of moody atmospheric register that suits the cursed-island premise. Infinite replayability is the explicit pitch.
