Trials of Fire

Trials of Fire is a tactical deck-building adventure set in Ashe, a fantasy world left in ruins by a Cataclysm. You assemble a party of three heroes and set out across an enormous overworld map in a desperate hunt for the resources that keep the settlement of Terralin alive.

Combat blends card play with positional, multi-character tactics on a battlefield where movement decides survival. Each hero acts on their own deck, and the particular combination of three decks throws up fresh problems in every fight, with strong card synergies letting the heroes' abilities feed into one another. Between encounters, the party's weapons, gear and items can be swapped or upgraded, with new equipment turning up as you explore.

What began in Early Access grew into a deep pool of content: nine playable heroes, four game modes plus a seasonal quest, hundreds of skill cards and items, dozens of legendary items, nearly three hundred narrative encounters, and a long list of enemies, bosses and landmarks. Loot, decks and party makeup all feed each other, so no two runs settle into the same strategy.
