Tandem A Tale of Shadows

Tandem: A Tale of Shadows is a puzzle platformer built on a two-perspective trick. You guide Emma, a young girl seen from a top-down view, and Fenton, a teddy bear who moves through a side-scrolling world of shadows, alternating between them to solve the mystery of the vanished magician Thomas Kane.

The two views are inseparable: Emma carries a lamp whose light casts the shadows that Fenton actually walks on, so progress means carefully coordinating the duo across both planes if they hope to escape its chiaroscuro dimensions alive.

The award-winning game spans five Victorian-inspired worlds drawing on the styles of Tim Burton, Jules Verne and Conan Doyle. As Emma and Fenton slip past intelligent obstacles and lurking horrors, they piece together clues about Thomas's disappearance and the strange Kane family, and about their own place in this story.
