About Tomb Raider I (1996)
Tomb Raider is the 3D action-adventure game that introduced archaeologist Lara Croft and launched one of gaming's most influential franchises. She is hired to recover the pieces of an ancient artifact known as the Scion, and with her fearless acrobatic style she runs, jumps, swims and climbs toward the truth of its origin and powers.
The hunt for the three parts of the Atlantean Scion carries Lara from a tomb in Peru to Greece, Rome and Egypt, after she is betrayed by her own employer and must recover the artifact before it falls into the wrong hands. Along the way she kills dangerous animals and creatures and solves puzzles to reach each ultimate prize.
The game's draw is its breath-taking 3D worlds, where exploration, puzzle and platform elements blend into a seamless real-time environment, leaving only a trail of empty tombs and spent gun cartridges in Lara's wake.
