About Zniw Adventure
Zniw Adventure wears its 1990s edutainment influences openly — the kind of CD-ROM adventures that taught dinosaur names while you clicked through cartoon scenes. Zniw, a young yellow dinosaur, sets out to find the perfect gift for her mother's hatchday, gets hopelessly lost, and stumbles into a much larger problem in the next village.
The whole game is hand-drawn frame-by-frame in a 4:3 cartoon style with the saturated color palette of a Saturday-morning lineup. More than five minutes of cutscenes break up the gameplay, and an in-game encyclopedia fills with descriptions of every prehistoric creature, item, and location you encounter — more than twenty species in all.
No blood, no swearing, no jump scares — Hidden Trap built it as a family-safe adventure with an acoustic soundtrack of over fifteen tracks, unlockable concept art, and minigames. Several biomes are reachable across the journey: jungle, cave, forest, all rendered in the same hand-inked style.
