Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars

Command & Conquer 3 is set in 2047, opening with a nuclear flare in the night sky that marks the start of the Third Tiberium War. Most of Earth is now buried under Tiberium — the corrupt mutagenic substance that defines the series — and the few remaining Blue Zones of habitable land are exactly what Kane and his Brotherhood of Nod are coming for. The Global Defense Initiative is what's standing in their way, with the alien Scrin entering the picture as a third faction.

The single-player campaign runs over 35 missions told from the perspective of all three factions, with the story knit together by high-definition live-action cutscenes featuring a cast pulled from Star Wars, Starship Troopers, Battlestar Galactica, LOST and House, plus Joe Kucan returning as Kane. Decisions across the campaign branch the strategic situation rather than producing a fixed corridor.

Multiplayer leans into the franchise's fast, fluid signature: an evolved side-bar interface keeps base management one click away during a fight, AI opponents can be tuned to specific styles like rushing or turtling, and the engine adds flying battleships, Ion Storms and combinable super-units to the standard C&C toolkit. The Steam release ships without GameSpy multiplayer services, which EA shut down in 2014 — community servers cover most of the gap.
