Descent 2

Descent II takes the freewheeling 360-degree combat of the original and pushes it over the edge. The mission warps you out to the Zeta Aquilae System and into the black depths of treacherous alien mines, where you tear through enemy robots with a set of powerful new tools and leave their burning hulks behind.

The objective is to wipe out the alien robot stronghold and seize the enemy base outright, spread across 30 fresh levels of outrageous destruction.

This time you are not alone. A loyal Guide-bot races through the twisting darkness beside you, often scouting ahead to track down the orbs, powerups, and tools you need. Hostile robots are still set on destroying you, among them the Thief-bot, which is determined to make off with your weapons and hard-won powerups.
