About Supraland

Supraland is the first entry in David Münnich's miniature first-person metroidvania series, built almost single-handedly by the German developer with Zelda, Metroid and Portal as the openly cited reference points. The premise is a child's backyard imagination: a tiny civilisation of plastic figures lives in a sandbox-scale world, and you walk through it at roughly the right size for a chess piece. A minimal story gives you a broad goal and then steps out of the way.

Most of the twelve-to-twenty-five-hour playthrough is exploration of an interconnected world where new abilities — not stats or experience — gate the next region. The abilities are deliberately overloaded: each one has more uses than the first puzzle it appears in, and combining two of them is where most of the design surprises live. Hidden chests are scattered everywhere, often in places where you suspect you've broken out of the level, and they usually reward genuine curiosity rather than checklist collecting.

Combat takes its cues from old-school shooters in the Doom and Quake mould — fast strafing, big jumps, no reloads, a steady rhythm of pumping shots into oncoming hordes. It sits alongside the puzzles rather than dominating them, and the demo lets you play the first sizeable section with full progress carry-over into the paid version if you decide to commit.
