Supraland Six Inches Under

Supraland Six Inches Under is the second game in David Münnich's miniature first-person metroidvania series, this time burrowing into a subterranean toy world below the original. The shape of the experience is roughly 55 percent exploration, 40 percent puzzles and 5 percent combat — the team picked those ratios deliberately and built around them rather than padding any single category. A playthrough runs anywhere from eight to twenty hours depending on how much optional content you chase, with most of the trickiest puzzles tucked off the main path.

Progress works the metroidvania way: a gated, interconnected world opens up as you find abilities that let you slip past obstacles you walked past hours earlier. Roughly half the toolkit returns from Supraland and half is new, and the design rewards combining them in ways the puzzle itself doesn't telegraph. There are no skill trees, no XP screens — just hundreds of small rewards hidden in the geometry, with most of the late-game content sitting beyond the credits roll rather than before it.

The project started as a short DLC and grew into a near-sequel, with a core team of six and a 27-month development cycle. Münnich stepped back from the solo-developer role he played on the first game; most of the regions were built by individual team members, which gives the world a more experimental, mixed-author texture. Combat was rethought too — enemies stay out of puzzle areas, new enemy types each demand a different approach, and there's no one-fits-all solution that carries you through the bestiary.
