RPG Stories

RPG Stories is a 3D virtual tabletop centered on a World Builder that quickly and easily creates indoor and outdoor environments for tabletop role-playing games, with full support for all three major TTRPG eras: Fantasy, Modern and Sci-Fi. Once a map is finished, you can export it for use in other VTTs or play it online in RPG Stories itself, in a fully 3D environment with stable multiplayer.

Building has no real limits. Auto-building handles quick setups while manual customization gives full control, and over 7,000 3D models span every setting, joined by hundreds of ready-to-use creations on the Steam Workshop. Procedural scene generation, an auto-room builder, mass placement, multi-level building, modular pieces and 2D image uploads all feed into the toolkit. Playing online lets you move objects in real time, roll any dice set on a vast 3D dice panel, and walk around as fully animated 3D characters, with Hero Forge minis usable as tokens.

Game Master tools deepen every session, with quest writing kept in a journal, fog of war, a tab system for different environments, a weather system with 35-plus conditions, light sources tied to a day-night cycle, and free camera control. Maps export as 2D screenshots up to 8K, as video, as RPG Stories files, or in the Universal VTT format compatible with all major platforms, and all exports are 100 percent commercial-free, so you can even sell your maps.
