As Dusk Falls is INTERIOR/NIGHT's original interactive drama, telling a story that spans thirty years across two intertwined families. The opening event — a robbery-gone-wrong in small-town Arizona in 1998 — sets off a cascade of consequences that propagates across the rest of the story, with character lives reshaped by decisions that cross generations. The game is told across two intense books, each running multiple hours, with the choices made in the first book genuinely changing what happens in the second.

The visual presentation is the game's standout production choice. Live actors performed the entire script with full motion capture, then their footage was digitally rendered into a hand-painted illustration style that gives the result the feel of a motion graphic novel rather than either pure live-action or pure animation. The technique gives the performances real weight while keeping the presentation stylized enough to support the emotional intimacy of the story.

The themes lean into the uncomfortable: sacrifice versus survival, the toxic inheritance of family patterns, the question of whether anyone really breaks free from where they came from. Replay value is genuine — the story branches significantly based on choices, with vastly different outcomes for the same characters depending on how key moments are handled.
