Thea The Awakening

Thea: The Awakening is a turn-based strategic survival game steeped in Slavic mythology, set after an apocalyptic force known only as The Darkness has engulfed the world. There are Strigas and Baba Yagas everywhere, but no heroes, no monster slayers and no great armies, only a handful of starving survivors, and you, the god who is their last hope.

The game combines hexagonal turn-based strategy with rogue-like grit, a story uncovered through more than 200 non-linear events, and a combat system built on a complex card battle game where your people become your deck. A wide range of features lets you play your way: stay in your village to build defenses and craft from over 4,400 items, or send out expeditions whose members carry their own gear and gain experience. Conflict need not always mean a fight, since assassination, stealth, diplomacy and hunting are all viable depending on your people's skills.

Each playthrough takes place in a huge procedural world, populated by over 100 deadly creature types, many drawn from Slavic legend, each with its own skills and stats even within a swarm. A day-and-night cycle shifts the danger, and multiple endings, with rewards carrying into the next run, reward different choices.
