Worldless

Worldless is set in a newborn universe where entities are locked in eternal conflict driven by the polarities of their attractions. Encounters trigger unstable exchanges between participants, with transformations that are unpredictable and consequential. The protagonist's journey is one of self-growth and understanding inside this abstract metaphysics.

The gameplay is a 2D platformer with metroidvania exploration through interconnected realms full of secrets. Abilities — dashing, wall jumping, and others — unlock as you progress and let you traverse increasingly intricate environments. The talent tree is deep enough to support significantly different builds based on your preferred combat and traversal style.

Battles use a hybrid system. Classic turn-based strategy provides the structure — choose your action, your opponent chooses theirs — but real-time elements within each turn demand reflexes and timing. Mastering the system requires deep understanding of mechanics rather than just stat optimization. The art is stylized and abstract, the soundtrack is haunting and melodic, and the interpretive narrative leaves a lot for the player to construct.
