DLC Quest

DLC Quest asks what happens when DLC practices go too far, and answers it with a game that mocks the industry and its foibles. You set out to defeat the bad guy, save the world and get the girl, but first you have to find coins to buy DLC that enables animation, sound and even the ability to pause. It is satire, and all the DLC is bought with in-game coins, but it doubles as a cautionary tale.

Underneath the joke is genuine platforming action, with coins to collect, a princess to save and a villain or two to defeat. Over 30 different DLC packs each offer a wry bit of commentary on the state of gaming, and more than 20 achievements reward you for playing along.

The game includes two full-length campaigns: the original award-winning DLC Quest and the newer Live Freemium or Die, plus online leaderboards.
