Spyro Reignited Trilogy

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is the high-definition remaster of the three original PlayStation Spyro games — Spyro the Dragon (1998), Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! (1999) and Spyro: Year of the Dragon (2000) — rebuilt by Toys for Bob from the ground up while staying faithful to the level design, characters and pacing of the originals. Same sick burns, same smouldering attitude, scaled up to modern visual fidelity.

Each of the three games is reworked rather than upscaled. Levels are reconstructed with modern texturing, lighting and polish, characters are re-animated to match the original personalities while taking advantage of higher poly budgets, and the soundtracks have been re-recorded — though the option to switch to the original Stewart Copeland soundtrack remains available for purists. Spyro the Dragon focuses on the original collect-a-thon platforming across the dragon realms; Ripto's Rage! introduces side characters like Hunter and Elora and expands the moveset; Year of the Dragon adds playable companion characters and substantially broadens the variety of mini-games and challenges.

For players who never touched the original PlayStation releases, the trilogy is the most accessible way to encounter Insomniac Games' formative late-90s mascot platformer with modern controls and presentation. For players who did, the remaster goes further than most by preserving the specific level layouts and character beats that made the originals memorable. All three games are included in a single package, with no progression unlocks gating access — you can drop into any of the three from the start menu.
