About TSIOQUE

TSIOQUE (pronounced 'chiock') is a Polish point-and-click adventure hand-animated frame-by-frame in meticulous 2D. You play princess Tsioque, imprisoned in her ancestral castle after the Evil Wizard's takeover. The castle that should be familiar to her has become a deadly trap, and the only path forward is escape — through demons, magical creatures, and the increasingly unstable spellwork that's reshaping the building itself.

The protagonist's defining trait is chaos. Tsioque is a little girl with a talent for bringing destruction wherever she goes, and the writing leans hard into the joy of letting her wreck the castle while she works toward her own freedom. Anyone who stands in her way is in for trouble; even the cast who help her are slightly afraid of what she'll do next. The tone blends dark fantasy with playful slapstick in a way the genre rarely manages.

The castle itself is essentially a character. Bound by the Wizard's spell, it bends and shapeshifts, forms layers of transformation and illusion, and grows more dangerous as the magic escalates. The environment is tightly integrated into the gameplay — many puzzles depend on understanding how the castle's geometry is changing around you. You can also die in this game; some puzzles have time pressure, and wrong decisions can cost Tsioque her freedom.

The game's inspirations are visible and earned. Day of the Tentacle's humor and art direction. Ron Gilbert's PAJAMA SAM-era respect for younger players. Heart of Darkness's vivid, dangerous-world perspective. Dragon's Lair's wonderfully animated fantasy with gruesome failures. Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis's adventure-humor-action blend. The soundtrack by Edward Harrison (NEOTOKYO, LUCKY DAY FOREVER) and Elle Kharitou is dynamically illustrated and adjusts to player action.
