Unusual Findings

Unusual Findings is a hand-pixeled 80s coming-of-age sci-fi adventure following Vinny, Nick and Tony, three friends whose new cable signal descrambler arrives just before Christmas. While trying to unscramble a pay-per-view adult channel, they accidentally pick up a distress signal from an alien spaceship crashing in the woods outside their town. The towering alien soon starts killing very specific local residents.

The game pays tribute to The Goonies, The Explorers, Monster Squad, The Lost Boys, They Live, Terminator and Aliens. Locations include the Video Buster Store, Laser Llamas Arcades, The Emerald Sword comic store, the punk Lost Boys' hideout, and THE BULL, an over-the-top 80s action hero willing to help (for the right approach). Mechanically it sits between Full Throttle's See/Grab/Talk action tokens and traditional inventory adventures.

Decisions matter. How the three friends interact and how you steer their personalities affects their friendship, the puzzles they solve, the locations they reach, and ultimately the story's ending.
