WitchHand condenses the 4X strategy formula — explore, expand, exploit, exterminate — into a real-time card-placement game. You lead a coven of witches expanding into the Ninth Realm, with cards driving exploration, settlement growth, research, and combat.
Each playable witch has her own unique kit. The Celestial Witch leans into village production and trade bonuses, the Chaos Witch into raw aggression and magical artillery, the Chef Witch into stat-boosting meals that buff her coven. Research paths branch further on top, so two runs with the same witch can play very differently.
The Council of Fates is the political backdrop — a body skeptical of your expedition who can be impressed (with boons) or antagonised. Neighbouring factions can be traded with, allied with, or wiped out and turned into spell components, depending on disposition.
The witching hour mechanic is the nightly pressure point: your spells are strongest, but unseen forces work hardest against you, so each in-game day is a race to expand before darkness lands. A peaceful mode removes the extinction threat for players who want the builder loop without the strategic clock.
