Zombie Soup

Zombie Soup throws backpacker Ricky into a town that has turned itself into a zombie nightmare during what was supposed to be a graduation trip. A mysterious talking skull called MC Skully partners up with him, and the two press on to rescue Ashley, another stranger he met just before everything went wrong.

The arsenal sprawls. Conventional firearms - rifles, snipers, SMGs, shotguns - share inventory with melee options like machetes and axes, explosives, and offbeat tools like nail guns, pitching machines, fireworks launchers and railguns. Puzzle interludes and a sprinkle of hack-and-slash combat break up the shooting.

Timed challenges scattered through the adventure are deliberately punishing, but clearing them unlocks the better weapons. The harder the optional fight, the stronger the reward, with bosses pushing the most absurd abilities in the game.
