Tiny Thor

Tiny Thor is a challenging retro platformer with true 16-bit graphics, built around using Mjolnir to lead a young Norse hero through levels packed with obstacles. It offers tight controls, fast-paced action and an experience tinged with nostalgia, and it begins on Thor's birthday, when Odin hands him the hammer that never misses its target.

Everything is designed around that premise. The hammer can be freely aimed and bounces off surfaces and enemies, enabling all kinds of trick shots, and mastering ricocheting throws is the key to overwhelming foes. The game feels familiar to retro fans but unique in its own ways, with 16-bit pixel art from Henk Nieborg and an original soundtrack by Chris Hulsbeck. It starts as a relatively simple platformer and unfolds as you unlock the kinds of abilities you dreamed of back in the day.

The platforming is punctuated by exhilarating boss battles, with each realm featuring almighty adversaries who want to stop Thor on his path to godhood. Across over 30 handcrafted levels in three distinct realms, you learn special abilities, solve tricky environmental puzzles and collect hidden gems to unlock challenge levels, all wrapped around the story of a boy taking responsibility.
