About I'm on Observation Duty 4

I'm on Observation Duty 4 is the fourth entry in Notovia's popular spot-the-difference horror series, and the studio's stated intention with the sequel is to take the formula back to its roots. The job is straightforward: monitor live surveillance camera footage of several rooms in a house, spot anomalies as they appear, and file reports identifying both the room and the type of anomaly to fix them before too many active anomalies accumulate.

Anomalies cover a wide spectrum of changes. A piece of furniture has shifted slightly. An extra object has appeared where nothing should be. Something has vanished from a previously full shelf. An intruder is standing in a room where they shouldn't be. A ghost has materialised in a corner of one of the cameras. The anomalies appear at random, so the player can never predict what's coming next, and the central horror element comes from a kind of growing paranoia about what might have changed somewhere you weren't looking carefully.

The fourth entry returns to the colourless, camera-based presentation of the earlier games (the third entry experimented with colour), and adds new anomaly types, new intruder designs, and new houses to monitor. The same familiar gameplay structure is preserved — survive from in-game midnight to 6am — but with a heightened sense of dread that the studio explicitly engineers around player expectations. Sharp eyes and good memory are required; too many active unreported anomalies means game over, and the game is more than willing to make you feel like you're losing the night entirely.
