About Mosa Lina
Mosa Lina is a deliberate counter-proposal to the lock-and-key design philosophy of recent immersive sims. Levels and tools are all handmade, but they're combined randomly at runtime — you might enter a level with three tools that have nothing in common with what the level was designed around, and the developer openly acknowledges he has no idea whether the combination is even beatable.
The core verb is collecting fruits to open a portal in each physics-driven puzzle platforming level. How you do that is entirely up to you, because the game gives you tools that may or may not be the obvious solution. Everything in the simulation — player, tiles, items, obstacles — runs through the same physics engine, which means emergent behaviors keep surfacing even after years of playtesting.
Stuffed Wombat's design eliminates safeguards intentionally. You might get the same item ten times in a row. You might never see another item at all. Every playthrough samples only a fraction of the total levels. Local and online multiplayer enable cooperative chaos. The built-in level editor and Steam Workshop support player-made level packs for those who've mastered the base design.
