About Heaven Dust 2
Heaven Dust 2 is a standalone sequel to the indie survival horror Heaven Dust, openly modeled on classic Resident Evil-era survival horror. Playing the first game isn't required. Steve wakes from a cryogenic pod inside the First Research Center just as a viral outbreak overruns the facility, and once again finds himself trapped surrounded by zombies and the dreadful truth of why he's here.
The campaign runs roughly twice as long as the first game, around 10 hours, with classic genre staples intact: exploration of an interconnected facility, item combination puzzles, resource management, inventory upgrades, and combat against varied undead. Weapons no longer occupy inventory space. The arsenal covers dagger, submachine gun, shotgun and grenades, and weapon modifications upgrade each one over the campaign.
Mutated monsters supplement the regular zombies: the heavily armored Bone Fiend, the regenerating Blood Fiend, the approaching Boomlad, and epic boss fights at the chapter breaks. Two escape routes lead to two endings, and difficulty splits across Casual, Normal and Expert. The pixel-art-meets-modern-3D visual style sharpens for the sequel.
